• Gear ratio: The stated ratio is 5.2:1. Compare that with the retrieve feel you want in a spinning reel.
• Drag: The 1000 size is listed with 11 lb max drag. Make sure that limit fits the line and fishing setup you plan to use.

Choosing the Correct Version

The Brutus line is shown in multiple sizes, including 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000. The 1000 size has its own drag and size details, so the exact size matters when comparing offers.

Before You Decide

Confirm that you want the 1000 size, since the Brutus line is offered in several sizes. Review the stated 5.2:1 gear ratio, 4+1 bearings, and 11 lb max drag against your setup. If the reel size is the main factor in your choice, make sure the selected version matches it exactly.
