Quick Summary
The Consciot metal detector kit has an 8-inch search coil, All Metal and DISC modes, and an adjustable length of 42.7 to 53.5 inches. The search coil is rated IP68; that rating does not establish that the entire detector can be submerged.

What to Compare Before Buying
- Water exposure: The IP68 rating applies to the search coil. Do not assume the display or other parts of the detector can be submerged.
- Length and user: Compare the 42.7 to 53.5-inch adjustment range with the intended user’s needs.
- Detection mode: Consider whether All Metal detection or DISC filtering better matches the planned search.
What Is Included
The kit description lists a carrying bag, steel shovel, headphones, and 2 x 9V batteries, in addition to the metal detector. The headphones are described as premium, a promotional term that does not specify their features.
Setup and Correct Use
Press and hold the power button for 1 to 2 seconds to turn the detector on or off. The description recommends outdoor use because indoor environments may cause interference. Follow the product instructions for any other setup or operating details.
Organize an Outdoor Search
To keep track of an outdoor search, divide the area into small sections and note which ones you have covered. This is a general planning idea, not a detector feature. If searching near water, remember that the stated IP68 rating is for the search coil and does not confirm water protection for the rest of the unit.
Before You Decide
Check that the adjustable length suits the intended user, the detection modes fit the planned search, and the listed kit contents match what you want. For water use, treat the IP68 rating as applying to the search coil only.
